At Mecha Mendez, we believe in the power of braiding. Braiding stories, myths, symbols, and territories. Our purpose is to build community through creations that honor our ancestors and celebrate a unique identity. We recognize the value of what is native as the root of a living culture, always evolving.
We have a deep faith in co-creation as a shared language, a braid in which we all meet. Each piece, each gesture, each collaboration is part of a symbolic weave that connects us beyond words and opens spaces for new ways of inhabiting art and beauty.

Each of our pieces is handcrafted in Argentina by skilled artisans. We work closely with them, valuing not just their craft but the stories and traditions that come with it. Our approach to materials is guided by intention and responsibility. We choose natural processes and sustainable resources because we believe in creating handbags that are both beautiful and long-lasting.

For the production we bring back to life the traditional techniques of braiding, reinterpreting them and varying their materials. The manufacturing process is backed up by the braid craftsmen, the gauchos, native to the Argentinian coastline, the Litoral.
The Gaucho Braid not only revalues the national and Latinamerican culture, but it also offers quality, optimal handcrafting, versatility, design, color, texture and durability.
