This was a chance purchase. I knew nothing about the company but saw pictures that looked good. I was not disappointed. Beautiful leather, good quality, especially for the price. Small, but big enough to fir what I need. Glad to give my business to a small company.
Love the bag, but customer service is poor. I wrote a few times about a problem with one of the small leather rings that secure the strap. It is frayed and needs to be replaced. My emails have been ignored.
I don't think Ive ever been quite so delighted to unbox a purchase as I was when I got this bag. The box itself was tied in a bow, and indicative of the love put into my basket bag and its send off. The burgundy color is beautiful, and after about a month of daily wear (I am hard on bags) has just gotten better. While the slow intentional craftsmanship and high quality leather land this bag squarely into the affordable luxury category, the show stopper is it's functionality. For those of you in the throes of struggling to find "the perfect tote" that fits all of your needs, this is the one.
I live in NYC and work client to client. This means that if I need my laptop for the day, I need a bag big enough and comfortable enough to lug it around ... while still looking polished and fashion forward. Impressions matter. It's versatile enough to be funky with high tops and jumpsuits, and sophisticated enough to elevate loafers and a blazer. The basket tote is perfect. Its large enough to fit everything (even gym clothes!) for a full 10 hour day in the city, but its thoughtful interior compartments prevent smaller items from disappearing into a big bag abyss. IYKYK. The rolled straps keep it comfortable when its loaded, and the overall shape is still beautiful when its not. It zips shut which most larger totes on the market do not. Even the extra cross body strap, which is usually an afterthought with bags, is beautifully made and levels up the other bags in my closet that I can attach it to. The dust bag cleverly doubles as a very cool tote too. If you're on the fence about ordering from an unknown international brand, just buy it. You'll see.
Beautifully made right down to the last detail. I love the bag, the size, the shape and just the accent of the pink braiding. It’s the perfect crossbody length and I feel 100% cooler when I wear it. Highly recommend.

I learned about Mecha Mendez from a friend of mine who ordered a bag from them. I’d been looking for months for a larger crossbody bag than what I previously had so I checked out their site as soon as I got home and they literally had exactly what I was looking for!! I normally don’t make pricier purchases like this online, but everything about the bag is beautiful! Even the packaging was nice and they included a sweet note from the person who handstitched the strap, it was a super sweet touch. I’ve already told some friends about this brand, I’m incredibly happy!

purchased this leather tote for work and i absolutely love it. measurements are correct, i’ve got a slightly older 13 inch laptop and it fits well. water bottle, wallet, and a small bag of odds and ends all fit. the braided straps are beautiful, and the color is rich, backup leather straps are included.
I have been eyeing this bag for a while, and I am so happy I finally purchased it! I am absolutely in love. It's so well made, so stylish, and I love that I can switch out the handles for different looks. I want to buy more colors. I love this bag!
