Basket Tote - Black Hypnotic

Each braided handle or braided detail is hand-crafted in Argentina using traditional gaucho techniques: a process rooted in time, precision and generational knowledge.

Each braid takes one to two days to complete, built strand by strand by skilled hands. The time invested is visible in its texture, weight and presence.

This is not a decorative detail, but a level of craftsmanship that requires time and expertise, naturally limiting how each piece can be made.

The braid is a defining element of Mecha Mendez: a signature that carries identity, craft and intention.

The Basket is a handcrafted vegetable-tanned leather shoulder bag designed for full, active days: spacious, versatile and crafted to last. Made from aniline-dyed leather, it preserves a natural finish that evolves beautifully over time.

A detachable leather crossbody strap allows for hands-free wear when needed.

The top zip closure keeps belongings secure, while the interior provides practical organization for daily essentials.

Crafted from 100% vegetable-tanned cow leather, dyed with natural anilines to preserve its authentic character. Our materials are carefully sourced from the finest tanneries in Argentina, where this time-honored leatherworking technique has been perfected over generations.

Soft, rich and naturally expressive, this leather is designed to age with you. Over time, gentle creases, marks and subtle shifts in tone will appear: not as flaws, but as a reflection of its journey.

With every use, the leather develops a deep, unique patina, making each bag one of a kind.

To maintain its natural beauty, avoid prolonged exposure to water. If the leather gets wet, gently pat dry with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally.

Occasional care with a leather cream can help nourish the surface and enhance its depth of colour. Always test on a discreet area first to ensure the desired finish.

Store your bag in a dry place, preferably in its dust bag, to preserve its structure and protect the leather over time.
